Where Confidence Begins

Orpheus Foundations is our specialist theatre programme for children aged 4-6, designed as the ideal introduction to the world of performing arts.

Created as part of Orpheus Theatre Arts, our Foundations programme nurtures young performers through drama, singing, movement and storytelling, in a fun and supportive environment.

Through creative play and performance, children develop confidence, communication skills and self-expression, all while discovering the joy of theatre.

Beginning Their Orpheus Journey

At Orpheus, we believe every child has a unique story to tell.

Orpheus Foundations provides a gentle introduction to theatre and performance, helping children build the skills they need both on and off the stage.

Our sessions encourage children to:

  • Explore their imagination

  • Find their voice

  • Build confidence

  • Work creatively with others

  • Develop performance skills through play

  • Develop key day-today skills, such as coordination, listening and memory

Whether they dream of performing onstage or simply want to grow in confidence, each child is welcomed, encouraged and celebrated.

Orpheus Foundations fees are £60 a month.

Orpheus Foundations runs every Saturday during term time at Tudor Grange Primary Academy St James, between 10am-11:30am.

Each session combines:

  • Drama games and storytelling

  • Singing and musicality

  • Movement and dance

  • Character exploration

  • Confidence-building activities

Classes are carefully designed around how young children learn best - through exploration and play.

How Do We Work?

Children in a gym or classroom setting playing with a large, sparkly green fabric canopy. Some children are standing, one girl is kneeling and looking up at the canopy, and another girl is sitting on the floor, smiling with her hand on her neck.
A group of young children sitting cross-legged on a green mat, wearing matching purple t-shirts with the word 'ORPHEUS' on them, engaging in an activity or lesson inside a room with brick and wooden walls, a fire extinguisher visible in the background.
